Cenote Zapote
or as we prefer “The Hell’s bells”

Cenote Zapote took its name from the Sapote trees growing around. Located on the “Ruta de los Cenotes” the old road from Puerto Morelos to Valladolid it represents a long adventure to reach it.

Its walls are like cylinders where you will start your descent. Once you reach a depth of 30m/100ft you will arrive on the top of the collapsed roof with a narrow skylight in the top through which you just descended. Halocline and a thin misty layer of Hydrogen Sulfide floating on top of it inviting you to go through to finally reach the bells zone.
